BLACK FRIDAY!Some people abhor it, but it’s my favorite shopping day of the year.  I do the whole bit, waiting in line in the cold, outside a big store so I can score some sweet deals. My stash is above, with stuff bought from Target, Five Below, and Gamecrazy.  Not too many stores, but I definitely got a lot of good deals.  I didn’t have my eye on anything big, just a lot of little random things that I thought I would like or I could use for gifts. My favorite purchases so far…The Darkness ($5) and Dark Sector ($10) for Xbox 360: I’ve yet to play these, but I’ve heard good things about them.  And for $5 and $10 apiece, why the hell not, right?  On top of that, they gave me a free Mirror’s Edge t-shirt!  Last one happened to be my size :).  Score!Kitchen Selectives Electric Griddle ($15): I have always, always wanted a griddle to cook with!  No, I am not a chef, but I can cook a mean breakfast.  I cooked eggs and sausages for dinner for my sisters and their friends tonight.  Griddle works great!  I have a feeling I’m going to use this baby a lot.Clök Smooth iPod Clock Radio ($30): I got this because I’m in need for a different sound for my alarm, and in hopes that it would work with my iPhone.  And it does!  I really like it — sounds surprisingly crisp with decent bass.  I only wish it came with a remote so I can control it from across the room.TomTom ONE 125 GPS ($99): This is the only “big” purchase of mine, which I had ordered from Amazon a couple days ago.  It arrived in the mail today, and I tested it out.  I am really impressed by this GPS device, especially for $99.  There’s no text-to-speech, but I’m already used to that from using our old Garmin GPS.  I also intentionally made wrong turns on my way home, and I found out that its route recalculation is *FAST*.  That’s probably what I like the most about it.  I’m really glad I bought this.  And with Amazon, no tax!Overall, a pretty nice stash of Black Friday stuff, I’d say. :)

BLACK FRIDAY!

Some people abhor it, but it’s my favorite shopping day of the year.

My favorite purchases so far…

The Darkness ($5) and Dark Sector ($10) for Xbox 360:
I’ve yet to play these, but I’ve heard good things about them.  And for $5 and $10 apiece, why the hell not, right?  On top of that, they gave me a free Mirror’s Edge t-shirt!  Last one happened to be my size :).  Score!

Kitchen Selectives Electric Griddle ($15):
I have always, always wanted a griddle to cook with!  No, I am not a chef, but I can cook a mean breakfast.  I cooked eggs and sausages for dinner for my sisters and their friends tonight.  Griddle works great!  I have a feeling I’m going to use this baby a lot.

Clök Smooth iPod Clock Radio ($30):
I got this because I’m in need for a different sound for my alarm, and in hopes that it would work with my iPhone.  And it does!  I really like it — sounds surprisingly crisp with decent bass.  I only wish it came with a remote so I can control it from across the room.
