Speaking of firsts… this was my first ever mp3 player!  The Rio PMP-300, which was one of first mp3 players to be sold in the US.  I was so proud to own this thing!
It boasted a whopping 32MB of memory!  Haha.  That’s around 8 songs, or 30 minutes of music.  You couldn’t even read the artist and song info on there — all it had were track numbers, like your old cd players.  But I didn’t care, I was one of the first kids on the block with an mp3 player!  Some people didn’t even know what an mp3 was at the time.
That’s geek cred for ya. ;)
